Prestwick Pictures

On the way down to Florida I started reading The Awakening. A couple chapters in, I noticed that the picture at the beginning of each chapter wasn't the same, which caused great excitement. As the book progresses, the girl's eyes in the picture begin to open. The pupils and the iris begin to become more defined. Finally the picture isn't the same!

  1. Perhaps we can begin our letter to Prestwick House with this slight compliment on the variety of their chapter illustrations. Then, we shall launch into our ever growing list of complaints about inadequate glossaries, typographical errors in the teaching guide, and discussion questions that do not adequately represent sequence of plot. Oh the list goes on and on....

  2. yah, that element and dubliners has been the only thing goin for them! i've noticed a few errors in The Awakening. allie forgot her copy at school and is reading her mom's copy...we compared grammer! the spelled 'eyes' 'eves' and forgot some quotation marks...but alas we would be the ones to notice...
